Terms of Service

Last updated: August 19, 2026
This is a plain-language document written specifically for how SSOWND actually works today, not generic boilerplate — but it is not a substitute for review by a qualified lawyer, especially before relying on it for real payments or users outside your home jurisdiction.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SSOWND (the "Service"), operated by SSHAY ("we", "us"). By creating an account, starting a free trial, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

SSOWND masters audio tracks using real digital signal processing (loudness measurement, EQ, dynamics, and stereo-width adjustment) run in your browser. Your original and mastered audio files are stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB), not uploaded to our servers, except where a specific feature requires it — currently, only the optional Pro lyrics auto-transcription feature sends audio to a third-party transcription service (see Section 6).

2. Accounts

You can use SSOWND in three ways:

If you start as a trial user and later sign in with Google or create an email/password account using the same browser, your trial credits and locally saved projects carry over into that account automatically.

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be able to lawfully enter into these Terms to use the Service.

3. Credits and payments

Mastering a track costs credits; analyzing a track is free. New accounts (including trial accounts) start with 10 free credits. Additional credits and the Pro plan can be purchased through Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your card details.

Credits and Pro subscriptions are billed and managed through Stripe. You can manage or cancel a Pro subscription at any time from the billing portal linked in Settings. Refund requests are handled case by case — contact support (Section 8) and we'll do our best to make it right.

Purchases require a real, signed-in account (Google or email/password) — trial accounts can't make purchases, since a trial has no way to recover access if the browser cookie is lost.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: upload or process audio you don't have the rights to master or distribute; use the Service to infringe anyone's intellectual property; attempt to bypass credit limits, rate limits, or account restrictions; or use the Service in any way that's illegal or harms other users.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the audio you upload and the mastered output you create. We don't claim any ownership over it. Since audio is processed and stored locally in your browser, we generally never have a copy of it on our servers.

6. Third-party services

SSOWND relies on a small number of third-party services to work: Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in), Resend (transactional email — password resets, verification, support messages), and, only if you use the optional Pro lyrics auto-transcription feature, OpenAI's Whisper API (your audio is sent to OpenAI solely to generate a transcript and is not stored by us). See our Privacy Policy for more on what each of these sees.

7. Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. This cancels any active subscription and erases your account data (email, name, credits, subscription status) from our servers. It does not delete audio or projects already saved locally in your browser — those live only on your device and are yours to keep or remove separately.

8. Support and disputes

Questions, problems, or refund requests: use the Support option inside the app, or email [email protected]. We'll try to resolve issues informally first. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that mastered output will meet any particular creative or technical standard. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
